PRESS GO

Press Go is an immersive theatre murder mystery game inspired by Hamlet and designed according to the stages of grief.

Win or lose, how this story ends is up to you…

Story Juice wrote and experience designed Press Go in collaboration with director Christopher Elmer-Gorry and the Almeida Theatre.
Teams of four are cast as reporters investigating the murder of a celebrity in a multi-locational mystery playing out around Islington, London.
Created in response to Robert Icke’s production of Hamlet with Andrew Scott, the reporters are modern day Hamlets adventuring through scenes informed by the stages of grief, including a karaoke booth, victim’s home, safe house and police cell, as they seek to unmask the murderer and avoid becoming victims of fake news.
Players detect lies and uncover the truth as they encounter characters and situations where their choices impact how their stories unfold due to a foldback and world state branching narrative structure.
Working with Hannah as a theatre maker and performer is an absolute pleasure. Her generosity and energy in a rehearsal process is infectious and her knowledge of what makes stories work is a superb addition to any ensemble

Players discuss the experience in this documentation video.
